About us

Alpha Mural 是香港藝術家陳英發（Chan Ying-fat）的個人壁畫工作室及作為公共藝術和社會實踐的平台。我們獨立於本地任何壁畫相關之協會、組織、團體及商業中介機構。

自2007年創立以來，我們一直致力於透過壁畫和工作坊，將壁畫藝術帶入公共空間。我們相信，壁畫不僅是空間的點綴，更是藝術連結城市、社區、環境及大眾心靈與審美對話的媒介。

目前，我們的實踐聚焦於以下三大核心領域：
1. 藝術家個人風格壁畫創作： 基於藝術家的個人美學，進行公共空間、美術館及特定場域（Site-specific）的藝術壁畫創作。藝術家保留完全的創作主導權。
2. 跨界與藝術合作： 與具備相同美學追求的品牌、機構及策展人合作，將藝術家的個人風格與當代媒介進行深度跨界轉譯。
3. 社會介入與社區共創工作坊： 策劃並指導符合「生命教育」、「社區營造」與「社會介入」理念的藝術工作坊，帶領青年與社區居民透過共創壁畫，發現生命的更多可能性。

Alpha Mural is the personal mural studio of Hong Kong artist Chan Ying-fat and a platform for public art and social practice. We are independent of any local mural-related associations, organizations, groups, and commercial intermediaries.

Since our founding in 2007, we have been dedicated to bringing mural art into public spaces through murals and workshops. We believe that murals are not merely embellishments of spaces, but also a medium through which art connects the city, community, environment, and the public’s mind and aesthetic dialogue.

Currently, our practice focuses on the following three core areas:

1. Mural Creation in the Artist’s Personal Style: Based on the artist’s personal aesthetics, we create murals for public spaces, museums, and site-specific locations. The artist retains complete creative control.

2. Cross-Disciplinary and Artistic Collaborations: We collaborate with brands, institutions, and curators who share similar aesthetic pursuits to deeply translate the artist’s personal style into contemporary media.

3. Social Intervention and Community Co-creation Workshops: We plan and guide art workshops that align with the principles of “life education,” “community building,” and “social intervention,” leading young people and community residents to discover more possibilities in life through co-creating murals.
